Wood Roof Shingles

Wood roofing was once very common across the United States.  It's unique and beautful appreance made it a favorite choice for decades.  Durable and lasting, Shake Shingles or Wood Shingles can be found in two different styles - machine sawn or hand split.  The more affordable and common is the machine sawn variety.

Wood shingles and shakes are a local Dallas Fort Worth favorite because of their beautiful look as they age. Shingles, the thinner of the two, has a propensity to easily damage in hail storms, not a good thing in the metroplex area. Shakes tend to be thicker and can last up to 25 years without significant hail damage.
